Your Role & Team in a Nutshell

As a Brand Innovation Manager, you will support the development and execution of global innovation and growth initiatives. Working across Yankee Candle, WoodWick and Chesapeake Bay Candle, you will shape and deliver the new product development roadmap with a primary focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Being part of a global team of six, you will work independently while collaborating with colleagues across regions and functions to bring global strategies, innovation and marketing plans to life. You will also help refine brand positioning and ensure global plans are effectively adapted to local market needs. We will help you achieve your goals and develop by providing regular feedback and access to online training courses.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build the innovation roadmap: Assess current plans, identify gaps and define the right new product priorities with a primary focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
  • Shape global strategy: Contribute to short- and long-term brand plans, using consumer needs, market trends and business performance to guide priorities.
  • Bring the brand to life: Help regional and country teams apply the global positioning, identity and product architecture consistently, while allowing for relevant local differences.
  • Lead innovation projects: Own selected stages of the global innovation process and work with markets to develop products that support growth.
  • Deliver successful launches: Coordinate the timely creation of core packaging, communication and launch materials for use across online and traditional sales channels.
  • Champion consumer understanding: Partner with consumer insights specialists to define research needs and turn findings into strong product and brand propositions.
  • Connect global and local teams: Maintain open, practical communication with regional and country colleagues so plans are understood, adapted appropriately and delivered effectively.
  • Improve commercial performance: Use sales, shipment and market data to identify opportunities that strengthen market share, gross margin and brand profitability.
  • Balance appeal and feasibility: Work with supply chain and procurement teams to develop products that meet consumer expectations and financial goals.

What You'll Need

  • A university degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in brand management, brand development or product innovation within consumer goods or consumer durables across international markets.
  • Solid experience with new product development or innovation initiatives from consumer insight through to market launch.
  • The ability to use consumer research, sales, point-of-sale, shipment, market and competitor data to make informed commercial decisions.
  • Strong financial acumen, including the ability to build and evaluate the financial case for individual innovation initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
