Newdigate Primary School is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and caring Midday Supervisor to join our dedicated team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and is committed to ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, positive and enjoyable experience for all pupils.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive school community and make a valuable contribution to the wellbeing, safety and development of our children.

The Role

• Supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, both indoors and outdoors.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage good manners and social interaction.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and wellbeing of pupils at all times.
• Support children during lunch service and encourage healthy eating habits.
• Supervise OPAL games and activities in the playground.
• Assist with minor first aid incidents, following school procedures.
• Report any safeguarding, behavioural or welfare concerns to the appropriate staff member.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and orderly lunchtime environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Has experience of working with children, preferably within a school setting.
• Enjoys interacting with and supporting primary-aged children.
• Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is calm, reliable and able to manage behaviour positively.
• Can work effectively as part of a team and use their own initiative.
• Is patient, caring and approachable.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Shares the school's values and high expectations for all pupils.
