We are seeking a motivated professional to manage and strengthen NewDay’s relationships with our third-party debt collection suppliers. This role plays a key part in driving supplier performance and supporting the success of our Collections and Recoveries function.
You will be central to ensuring clear alignment, setting ambitious yet achievable objectives, and fostering collaboration that delivers value for both NewDay and our partners. By building strong, transparent relationships, you will help maximise portfolio performance and contribute to delivering positive outcomes for our customers and the business.
What You Will Be Doing
- Own the documentation & management of all external supplier action plans and MBR/QBR minutes.
- Attend meetings and build relationships with NewDay suppliers, working with our suppliers to understand strategic differences, operational delivery and improvement opportunities.
- Support compliance reviews and assist with driving of process improvements through pilots, problem solving & acting upon ideas.
- Oversee relevant processes to demonstrate NewDay adherence to internal supplier governance framework requirements.
- Ensure adherence to NewDay internal supplier management standards, completing all attestations and testing/audits as required in order to achieve the required standards in governance and oversight of suppliers.
- Co-ordinate the end to end management of all change requests impacting on suppliers.
- Act as an SME in quality assurance, adhering to NewDay standards whilst identifying opportunities to drive positive customer outcomes.
- Provide regular performance insight to the external suppliers in order to allow self-identified issues through the agencies and self-drive results.
- Support the development and monitoring on key SLAs and KPIs and address any areas of non-performance.
- Support Collections in demonstrating supplier adherence to controls, policies and standards as outlined through contractual agreements and mandated processes.
- Provide regular coaching and feedback with external stakeholders, maintaining an eye for detail to identify improvement opportunities and feeding these back into the business.
- Attend conferences and other offsite meetings as an ambassador of NewDay, representing our business whilst using industry updates and insight to drive business improvements.
- Completion of adhoc tasks and activities as required.
- Support wider team in best practise sharing results and providing performance updates.
- Present insight and findings to senior management team as required.
- Attend required internal governance and management forums to appropriately represent 3rd party supplier considerations.
Essential
Your Skills and Experience
- Excellent at building relationships – an ability to create, develop and strengthen relationships with suppliers and internal departments
- Proven ability to meet and exceed performance management targets
- Demonstrable track record of delivering continuous improvement
- Ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders through strong presentation, written, and verbal language skills
- Excellent communication, innovation and negotiation skills
- Understanding of impairment, flow rates, and key collections drivers
- Experience of risk identification and risk management
Desirable
- Managing suppliers and/or external relationships in a regulated environment
- Previous experience of working in a DCA or with sub/near prime portfolios
