The Senior Manager for ML Engineering will help to drive high standards of delivery excellence within Machine Learning Engineering and MLOps. They will be crafting an environment that will help improve our decision making and customer outcomes. 0-12 months you’ll deliver:
- Lead Engineers involved in the Machine Learning lifecycle including ML and MLOps Engineers.
- Foster the right environment for success: psychologically safe with high challenge & high support.
- Build relationships with our ML business partners and deliver positive outcomes for them!
- Ensure excellent delivery standards and help to drive developer satisfaction.
- Be able to maintain a high level of what is important and set strategy accordingly but also able to dive in technical details if required.
- Articulate and reinforce the value of Engineering within Data Science workflows.
What you’ll bring: We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:
- Led successful teams previously.
- High Emotional Intelligence: able to bring people together towards a common goal.
- Confirmed production Machine Learning experience.
- Python programmer with solid understanding of scientific Python eco-system including libraries like NumPy and pandas.
- Experience with Python ML libraries/frameworks and production software delivery such as CI/CD.
- Appreciation of the trade-offs between exploratory and production workflows.

- Talks at conferences/meetups or articles published on relevant topics.
- Amazon Sagemaker experience.
