As a Senior Specialist Fraud Strategy at NewDay, you'll own and drive Fraud Prevention & Detection strategy across all NewDay products, sitting at the heart of Credit & Collections and making a real, measurable impact. From spotting emerging threats to designing and delivering innovative fraud controls, you'll lead initiatives and champion smarter, more effective ways to protect our customers. Partnering with expert teams across Fraud Operations, Data Science, and external providers, you'll use powerful tools and rich data to strengthen 1st and 3rd party fraud defences. This is a fast moving, high impact role for someone who thrives on change, enjoys solving complex problems, and is driven to stay one step ahead of fraud.
How you'll contribute:
- Identify emerging fraud threats and design complex, multi-system strategies
- Build, manage, and enhance fraud defences across existing and new platforms
- Monitor strategy performance, turning data into meaningful insights
- Develop world-class fraud strategies using statistical and analytical methods
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal teams and external partners
We're looking for these essential skills:
- Strong experience in Financial Services, working within Fraud Strategy
- Hands on experience with fraud tools (e.g. Featurespace, Falcon, Outseer)
- Strong analytical capability using Python or SQL (Snowflake & JupyterHub preferred)
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Solid understanding of PSD2, authentication flows, and customer outcomes
It's a plus if you also have these skills:
- Highly numerate with a strong ability to spot trends and performance shifts
- Comfortable working independently with high levels of ownership
- Confident using GitHub or Bitbucket for code deployment and approvals
- Detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys tackling complex challenges
- Curious, creative, and driven to stop new and emerging fraud threats
