This is a newly created role with the opportunity to shape how one of the UK’s leading consumer credit providers is understood by current and prospective colleagues, clients, and the wider market. As Internal and External Communications Manager, you’ll sit at the centre of corporate storytelling, executive communications and employer narrative. You’ll help bring our purpose and priorities to life through clear, compelling communications. From thought leadership on LinkedIn to our corporate website and company-wide communications and events, you will have the opportunity to define strategy and execute it across our range of internal and external channels.
This is a hands‑on strategic role for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in fast‑moving environments and is excited by the opportunity to build. One day you might be shaping executive messaging or developing a content strategy; the next you could be partnering with internal communications to turn colleague stories into compelling external campaigns. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and play a key role in evolving our channels and impact, including exploring AI optimisation to help us operate efficiently and engage audiences more effectively.
How You’ll Contribute
- Shape and deliver NewDay’s corporate and employer narrative, aimed at increasing engagement with key audiences through internal and external channels.
- Manage and evolve our corporate communications channels, including our corporate website, LinkedIn presence, and internal events.
- In alignment with business objectives, lead the development of communication strategies and editorial content across multiple formats.
- Partner with executive leaders and internal teams to create clear, consistent and engaging communications for colleagues, candidates and external audiences.
- Support reputation management and earned media activity, working closely with agency partners and senior stakeholders to manage media relations.
- Line manage one direct report to support their performance and development, providing regular feedback.

- The ability to develop clear, compelling corporate narratives and translate complex ideas into engaging content for different audiences.
- Experience managing corporate communications channels, including websites, social platforms and executive communications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to partner effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- You’ll enjoy balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery in a fast‑paced environment and will be comfortable producing and editing quick‑turnaround content yourself.
- The ability to use data, insight and audience understanding to measure impact and shape communication strategies.
- Experience developing content strategies and identifying opportunities to maximise the impact and reach of communications.

- Experience supporting leadership visibility through thought leadership, speaking engagements or media opportunities.
- Experience managing relationships with media outlets and journalists, as part of either an in‑house communications team or partnering with agencies.
