This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine risk insight, control testing, and stakeholder influencing to ensure we operate with strong governance and make informed, risk-based decisions.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Risk Partnering
    • Act as a trusted risk partner, providing oversight, challenge and guidance on governance, risk and controls.
    • Work closely with business functions to proactively shape the control environment as new initiatives are delivered.
    • Build strong relationships to influence better decision‑making and to be a trusted advisor on risk and control matters.
  • Control Testing & Assurance
    • Perform testing of key financial controls in a systematic manner, assessing design adequacy and operational effectiveness, and identifying control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
    • Support the ongoing maintenance of the control environment to protect assets, reduce risk, and assure the accuracy of financial reporting.
    • Contribute to the assurance provided to senior stakeholders, including the CFO and Board Committees.

We’re Looking For These Skills

  • A strong understanding of control design and control testing frameworks.
  • Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and provide credible challenge.
  • An accounting background is preferred (part or fully qualified ACA / ACCA) but those with an internal audit background will equally be considered.
  • Solid Excel capability (advanced Excel is a plus).
  • A proactive mindset — able to identify risks and set out cost‑effective mitigation measures.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate complex matters into practical insight.
