The Head of Financial Accounting FTC role at NewDay offers an exciting opportunity to lead the financial accounting function within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As part of a forward-thinking team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements in financial processes. This 12-month fixed-term or day-rate contract provides a chance to contribute to a high-impact role while working with a talented team in a growing, innovative company.
As the Head of Financial Accounting, you’ll be the driving force behind our month-end close processes, ensuring everything is delivered on time and in line with IFRS standards. You’ll partner with teams across the business, providing critical insights and analysis to support key decision-making.
You’ll deliver
- Month-End Close Ownership: Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, adhering to IFRS and Group accounting policies.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insightful performance analysis and ensure appropriate accounting practices.
- Strategic Support: Engage with the business on strategic priorities, assessing and updating accounting policies to align with major change projects.
- Audit & Control Excellence: Support the external audit process, ensuring smooth delivery and compliance, while driving continuous improvements in controls and efficiency.

- ACA (or equivalent) qualification with strong technical knowledge of IFRS and experience implementing accounting policies for compliance.
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing teams.
