Your new role at NewDay

As part of the fast-growing Platform Product Owners team, you’ll drive and be a shining example of Product excellence within NewDay. Reporting to the Head of Product and supporting the other Platform Product Owners – you’ll craft the future of NewDay’s Acquisition Platform – building world-class services for internal and external customers. By taking the visions and goals of the Commercial and Technical teams – you’ll give our teams the clarity to develop, adapt and innovate at speed – while maintaining our high standard of quality and agile practice. You’ll educate, advise, and inspire the wider Digital team directly through contributions such as – but not limited to - writing for our Blog, presenting on technical topics and mentorship.

0-12 months you’ll deliver

  • Shaping, owning and building out new capabilities for the Platform, maintaining and improving current capabilities.
  • Monitoring overall performance of existing and new capabilities against OKRs, crafting, owning, and updating roadmaps.
  • Working with development and business teams in an agile framework, reporting progress and plans to NewDay leadership.
  • Helping to define non-functional requirements around resilience, performance etc.
  • Supporting the triage and resolution of production incidents.
  • Driving NewDay's agile practices and embedding processes within the team whilst maintaining morale and dedication, working with our Engineering and Product community (internal and external) to champion a culture of learning, growing and innovation.

What you’ll bring

We need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

  • Delivering change across product engineering teams with a tangible impact.
  • Driving squad improvements, coaching delivery, process and togetherness.
  • Technology; are you immersed in digital product and the wonderful workings of tech?
  • Regulatory change.
  • Experience of working in a fast-growing FinTech business.
  • Recognised agile qualifications.
  • Experience in contributing to the Development/Product community (either within a company or publicly).
