As a Specialist, Impairment Reporting, you'll play a key role in delivering our monthly IFRS 9 impairment reporting, providing valuable insight into portfolio performance and the drivers of expected credit losses.

Working across Credit Risk, Collections and Finance, you'll help ensure our impairment calculations are accurate, robust and well understood, while supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

  • How you'll contribute
  • Own the monthly IFRS 9 impairment reporting process, delivering accurate expected credit loss (ECL) results and providing insight into key performance drivers.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Credit Risk, Finance and Collections to understand portfolio performance, explain impairment movements and support business decision-making.
  • Assess the impact of lending, customer management and collections strategies on impairment outcomes, identifying emerging risks and trends.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of impairment reporting, including PMAs, model parameter updates, validations and business change initiatives.
  • Use Python, SQL and data-led analysis to challenge results, generate meaningful insights and provide visibility to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • We're looking for these essential skills
  • Experience in IFRS 9 impairment reporting, ECL forecasting, credit risk analytics or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Python and SQL to interrogate data, solve problems and generate insight.
  • Understanding of impairment drivers, risk trends and portfolio performance within lending businesses.
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis clearly and confidently to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Organised and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • It's a plus if you also have these skills
  • Experience with PMAs, IFRS 9 models or impairment methodology.
  • Exposure to credit cards, consumer finance or other unsecured lending products.
  • Experience using Power BI and presenting insights to senior leadership audiences.
