Role Overview

As a Specialist, Commercial Strategy & Analytics, you will play a key role in delivering insight-led commercial strategies across our existing customer portfolio.

You will support a range of activities including Balance Growth, Engagement, and Promotional Strategy, monitoring performance, identifying opportunities and providing recommendations to improve portfolio growth, customer value and profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyse and optimise the performance of existing customer commercial strategies, including Balance Growth, Engagement and Promotional activity.
  • Identify opportunities to improve portfolio growth, yield and customer outcomes.
  • Deliver insightful analysis and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
  • Identify customer segments and pockets of untapped value, using data-driven insights to develop and recommend targeted commercial initiatives.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing and Credit Risk teams to design, evaluate and implement strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Support portfolio health through effective performance monitoring, forecasting, financial planning and targeting activities.
  • Work closely with Change Delivery teams to implement strategic initiatives, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and achieve the intended commercial impact.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong quantitative analytical experience within Financial Services.
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills, with experience analysing and manipulating complex datasets.
  • Strong numerical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to assess the commercial and customer impact of pricing and strategic changes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex analysis and recommendations to non-technical audiences.
  • A collaborative, proactive approach with a willingness to support wider team objectives.
  • Preferred / Additional Skills
  • Experience working with consumer lending products such as credit cards, loans or mortgages.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment within consumer lending.
  • Experience supporting the delivery of complex change initiatives within Financial Services.
  • Python experience.
