  • Oversee VAT, corporation tax, HMRC submissions, and support accurate R&D claims.
  • Continuously review and improve financial processes and systems.
  • Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting cycles.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to enhance financial performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and payroll teams.
  • Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and promote best practice.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight and financial analysis.
  • Support investment appraisals, strategic projects, and system implementations.
  • Partner with operational teams on modelling, rate changes, and tender submissions.

  • Strong experience managing audits, statutory reporting, and complex financial processes.
  • Deep knowledge of UK accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems/ERPs; system implementations or finance transformation experience is a plus.
