About the role

Newcross Healthcare is recruiting experienced Support Workers in Kilmarnock to provide high quality care in care homes and local community settings. You will support people with daily living, promote independence and help them live safely and comfortably.

Your responsibilities:

  • Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Supporting access to the community, appointments, and activities
  • Following care plans and documenting progress
  • Administering medication

What you need:

  • Right to Work In the UK
  • Experience – 6+ months of paid UK care experience within the past 3 years.
  • Registration – If applying in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, you’ll need the relevant SSSC, SCW, or NISCC registration (not required in England).
  • Qualities – A compassionate nature, professionalism, and teamwork skills.
  • Skills – Ability to support clients with personal care, mobility, and daily activities.
