Your role as a Residential Support Worker

You will work within a children’s residential setting, providing day-to-day care, emotional support, and positive role modelling. Your role will include:

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children and young people
  • Supporting daily routines and encouraging independence
  • Helping children manage emotions and behaviours in a safe way
  • Being a calm, reliable presence during both good and challenging days

What we are looking for

  • At least 6 months of full-time care experience within the last 3 years
  • A minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children or young people within the last 3 years
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Registration – If applying in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland, you’ll need the relevant SSSC, SCW, or NISCC registration (not required in England).
