Your role as a Site Administrator:
We are looking for a reliable and well-organised Site Administrator to support the Health & Safety team on-site. This role is central to ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly and that documentation is accurate and up to date. You will help maintain a safe and compliant working environment by managing essential documents, coordinating induction records and providing day-to-day support to the team. This is a hands-on administrative position that is fully based on site - ideal for someone who enjoys being part of an operational environment and providing essential support to colleagues.
Salary: £16,949.40 per annum
Hours: 24 hours per week
Schedule: Monday: 10:00am - 2:00pm; Tuesday to Friday: 10:00am - 3:00pm
Location: Fully site-based
Contract: Fixed-term (12 months maternity cover)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update health & safety documents, policies and procedures
- Support the coordination and tracking of staff inductions and training records
- Organise and manage filing systems, both paper-based and digital
- Assist with preparing for internal audits and external inspections
- Keep standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurate and well organised
- Provide general administrative support to the Health & Safety Manager
- Assist with the recording and reporting of incidents and follow-up actions
Skills & Experience:
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritise workload
- Confident communicator who can liaise with staff across departments
- Some previous experience in an admin role, ideally within a manufacturing or operational setting
Desirable (not essential):
- Awareness of workplace health & safety procedures
- Experience with document control or compliance-based admin
