We are seeking a POD Operator to join our team in Hull. This role is responsible for overseeing a fully automated loading process located on our customer site, ensuring products are moved efficiently from production through to trailer loading while maintaining strict temperature control and operational standards. You will play a key role in monitoring system performance, supporting loading activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of the POD facility.

Location: Client Site - Hull

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday/Rotating days and nights (06:00-16:00/18:00-04:00)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor automated loading operations using CCTV and system controls to ensure products are loaded correctly and efficiently.
  • Oversee the loading of automated double-deck trailers, monitor system alerts and product information through warehouse systems, and ensure temperature requirements are maintained at all times.
  • Work closely with factory and transport teams to coordinate production volumes and loading activities.
  • Carry out routine housekeeping and basic maintenance tasks to support the safe and effective operation of the POD facility.
  • Identify and escalate operational issues, maintain a high standard of housekeeping, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of this highly automated process.

Requirements:

  • Strong IT skills and an interest in automated systems and technology.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or operational environment would be beneficial.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a role based on a customer site.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to operational issues are essential.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
