Your role as a HGV Driver (Class 1)
Responsibilities
- Ensure all daily checks are undertaken in line with company standards and legislative requirements, reporting any defects correctly.
- Complete all necessary paperwork on time and in full.
- Ensure all deliveries/collections are loaded correctly at temp and secure before leaving depots.
- Partake in pre- and debrief process, informing traffic office of any delays or incidents.
- Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner, respecting other road users and protecting the reputation of the company.
- Ensure safe delivery and collection of goods, minimising risk to self, colleagues and the public by following company processes.
- Observe company rules, procedures and policies at all times.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment for units and trailers.
- Download tachograph card in line with company requirements.
- Friday to Monday shifts (Days and Nights).
Who we are looking for
- Valid HGV Class C+E licence.
- Driver CPC qualification (or willingness to obtain, with our support).
- 2+ years of Class 1 driving experience.
