About the vacancy

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year. Job Title: Team Leader. Schedule: 4 on 4 off. Reporting to: Shift Manager.

Support daily warehouse operations, lead the team, and ensure targets, standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. Drive continuous improvement and maintain a high level of service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead and coordinate warehouse activities to meet operational and customer targets.

Train and support new team members and encourage process improvements.

Manage colleagues’ working hours, tasks, and performance during shifts.

Report progress and issues to the Shift Manager.

Stock & Equipment Control

Address non-compliant deliveries and resolve warehouse issues promptly.

Ensure vehicles, machinery, and equipment are safe and well maintained.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

Ensure all colleagues follow Health, Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety policies.

Promote safe working practices, including manual handling and hazardous material storage.

Deliver safety observations and report hazards, near misses, and damage quickly.

Challenge unsafe behaviour and support a \"clean as you go\" approach.

Maintain high standards for security and compliance, including BRC and cold storage requirements.

Customer & Team Focus

Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring service levels are met.

Support continuous improvement and contribute ideas for operational efficiency.

Ensure effective communication between the warehouse, office, and management teams.

Foster teamwork, engagement, and a positive, proactive working environment.

Schedule

4 on 4 off, 21 days holiday each year (including all bank holiday entitlements) holiday entitlement will increase by 1 extra days’ annual leave for every year’s service up to a maximum of 25 days’ leave after 4 complete years’ service.
