Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off Day Shifts (06:30 - 18:30)
Salary: Up to £30,750.00

Overview
We are recruiting a Driver Debrief Clerk to support the Transport team and contribute to high quality, safe and efficient operations across our Wakefield and Corby sites.

This position strengthens day to day performance by ensuring drivers are briefed, debriefed and supported with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end of shift debriefs with drivers, capturing feedback, reviewing incidents and confirming completion of scheduled routes.
  • Deliver structured start of shift briefings covering route details, customer expectations, timings and safety requirements.
  • Verify driver licence status and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory obligations.
  • Accurately process delivery notes, PODs and all associated transport documentation within required timeframes.
  • Record driver absences and elevate recurring concerns in line with company procedures.
  • Log non conformances and ensure correct follow up within the internal reporting system.
  • Work closely with the traffic and transport planning teams to resolve any operational issues in real time.
  • Support customer engagement when required and uphold professional service standards.
  • Maintain accurate logs and ensure secure handling of sensitive information and documentation.

Requirements

Education

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent
  • Further qualifications in logistics or transport administration are desirable

Experience

  • 2 years of prior experience in transport administration, logistics or customer support.
  • Strong organisational capability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast paced transport environment.

Skills

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal ability.
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • Ability to remain accurate and composed under pressure.
  • Accountability and integrity in all aspects of work.
