About the Role
We have an opportunity within our fantastic People Services team working as a People Coordinator to join us at an exciting period of transformation. This is a part time role working 18 hours per week.
Within our fast-paced people team your role will be to provide comprehensive first-line HR advice as well as administration support to our colleagues across the Society, whilst ensuring a high level of customer service is consistently delivered.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end colleague lifecycle process; this includes onboarding new starters, processing contract changes, responding to colleague queries via our HR system Workday, supporting our Line Managers with internal processes and providing first line employment advice whilst providing our colleagues the best experience.
Working within the wider People Operations department you will work closely with our People Adviser team supporting with ad hoc tasks and focused project work. The role is working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, requiring up to 2 days in our Cobalt office, one of these days being a Thursday.
About You
You'll be a real People person. You'll be interested in supporting and enabling our people to play their part in connecting our communities with a better financial future.
You will ideally have experience of working within an HR administrative/coordinator role in a fast paced and high-volume team and be comfortable with working with changing priorities at short notice.
You will be a self-starter, with the ability to prioritise your workloads and be comfortable both working independently as well as within a professional and supportive team.
You will be qualified to CIPD Level 3, or working towards this, whilst also possessing a working understanding of employment law and HR best practice (e.g., background checks, absence, flexible working). A strong awareness of GDPR and data confidentiality principles is also expected.
You'll be confident with Microsoft Windows and Office programmes and be comfortable with learning new systems and enhancing processes. Experience working with the Workday HRIS is desirable but not essential as training will be given. You will need excellent communication skills to allow you to build strong relationships with colleagues and Line Managers, providing an exceptional colleague experience will be your priority.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail is essential and most importantly you will need a can-do solution focused attitude.
