This full-time role (37 hours) involves travelling across the UK to deliver events, presentations and workshops to prospective students, parents/carers and teachers. The position supports the Newcastle University PARTNERS programme, residential summer schools, and other wide-reach activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver on-campus and virtual events for prospective students, managing logistics, budgets and evaluation reports.
- Act as lead presenter for large audiences and coordinate teams of Student Ambassadors and other staff to ensure quality delivery.
- Support the Student Recruitment Manager in developing and delivering the PARTNERS programme, including organising the Year 13 residential PARTNERS Academic Summer School.
- Manage line-management duties where required: oversee workload, conduct performance reviews, and supervise team meetings.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of national recruitment events, such as Open Days and Higher Education conventions.
- Produce marketing and publicity materials (print, web and new media) to promote Newcastle University to target audiences.
- Collaborate with the Access and Participation Plan team on projects such as Westgate Hill and Insight 2Uni mentoring.
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning, organization and delivery to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex workloads, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible, adaptable problem-solver with a positive approach.
- Team-working skills and ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders.
- Good IT skills and finance management ability.
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK, including overnight stays.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Suitable for gain Enhanced Disclosure checks via DBS.
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
