Senior Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice to support the design and delivery of the Law with Criminology LLB. You will maintain an international research profile, lead module development such as Introduction to Criminal Justice, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. The role emphasizes research-led teaching, external engagement, and advancing social justice within a collaborative Law School community. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality research-led teaching and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations
- Mentor students as academic adviser and assess modules per university standards
- Contribute to curriculum and programme development and deliver selected modules (e.g., Introduction to Criminal Justice; Criminology, Law and Policy)
- Pursue external research funding and engage with external stakeholders to ensure impact of work
- Develop and supervise postgraduate researchers and participate in research groups/NUCoREs
- Fulfil administrative duties and contribute to the department’s community and inclusive culture
Key requirements
- Sustained national and developing international research profile with high-quality outputs
- Proven teaching experience in criminology/criminal justice and ability to deliver research-led teaching with technology
- Experience supervising undergraduate and taught postgraduate projects
- Demonstrated academic citizenship and ability to work in team settings
