We are excited to launch this new opportunity for a Programme Manager to join the School of History, Classics and Archaeology to work on the next phase of the RICHeS funded project Transforming Access to Mediterranean Cultural Heritage Science Collections.
Responsibilities
- Drive the intellectual agenda of the project alongside the Principal Investigator.
- Govern the shared infrastructure, coordinating engagement with stakeholders and prospective partners.
- Support the Principal Investigator’s communication and outreach activities and research vision.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting, progress tracking, governance and overall project planning.
- Maintain clear communication and coordination among stakeholders to meet milestones, research goals, budget and timeline constraints.
- Lead efforts in collaboration with the Education Access Research Associate and Digital Access IT lead to increase infrastructure access, track impact, and build applications for additional funding.
- Manage risks, resolve issues and report on progress to senior leadership.
- Collect, analyse and interpret research data, and draw conclusions on outcomes.
- Coordinate own work with that of others, applying problem‑solving to achieve research objectives.
- Present information on research progress and outcomes to the Principal Investigator and other overseeing groups.
- Write up results from own research activity and contribute to the project’s dissemination strategy, including reports, papers, chapters and books.
- Use research resources such as laboratories, workshops and specialist equipment where required.
- Track progress of programme component elements across academic, heritage and education sectors.
- Identify avenues for further funding and contribute to grant applications.
- Communicate with potential external partners to increase uptake of the infrastructure.
- Contribute ideas for technical or methodological enhancements to the project.
- Determine appropriate research methodologies and assess findings for further investigation.
- Present research findings at conferences and through reputable publications.
- Develop own research objectives and proposals for funding.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail while managing budgets.
- Present complex information effectively to a range of audiences and develop dissemination strategies, including social media.
- Analyse data and write up results.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and exhibit excellent IT skills in major office applications.
- Use personal initiative and creativity to solve research problems and demonstrate awareness of the research environment.
- Demonstrate experience in presentations at conferences and high‑quality publications.
