Newcastle Law School seeks to appoint a Professor of Law to join our inclusive Russell Group Law School that values Challenge, Social Justice, Compassion, Wellbeing, Excellence, Responsibility, and Respect. We welcome applications from candidates with a broad range of research specialisms who can collaborate across disciplines and with external partners. This open Chair position may focus on areas such as international economic/trade law, data protection law, comparative legal systems, socio-legal studies, private law, or related fields that enhance the societal impact of our research and education.

Candidates should demonstrate an excellent international research profile, experience in academic leadership, a record of securing external grants or impact, and a commitment to collegiality, inclusivity, and mentoring early career researchers. They should also be dedicated to delivering innovative teaching and supporting students and postgraduate researchers.
