Role Overview
Engagement Assistant – support student engagement, careers and employability programme, combining marketing, customer service and administrative responsibilities.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the running and delivery of employability and external engagement events, including employer sessions, workshops and networking activities.
- Act as the first point of contact for all students in the dedicated Career Hub.
- Capture, produce and post consistent engaging content across social media platforms.
- Support the planning and delivery of specific projects, maintain accurate records and administrative systems.
- Manage the Career Hub space, ensuring organisation and presentation, and maintain physical and digital careers resources.
- Support the Engagement Coordinator in creating student communication materials and maintain the Employability Virtual Learning Environment (Canvas).
- Oversee the shared email inbox, ensuring timely responses and escalation of complex queries.
- Any other duties within the scope of the grade.

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Experience in an administrative or customer-facing role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Experience working in higher education or careers environment.
- Familiarity with event coordination.
- Experience in information, advice and guidance (IAG).
- Experience with a CRM system.

Qualifications

Salary & Benefits
