We are seeking an enthusiastic, ideally time‑served Electrical Technician to join our team in a practical, workshop and laboratory‑based role within the School of Engineering. This post focuses on the hands‑on repair, operation, maintenance, and development of electrical facilities. Based across a range of laboratories and workshops, you will provide high‑quality technical support to enable teaching and research activities, ensuring equipment and facilities are safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.

You will be supported by the Technical Team Leader and the School Technical Manager. Working as part of a team of Electrical and Electronic Technicians, you will be directly involved in the installation, fault‑finding, repair, calibration, and upkeep of laboratory equipment and systems. This includes practical work with test rigs, instrumentation, motors, and AC electronic motor drive systems.
