About the Role

Are you passionate about social media, content creation, and digital trends? We’re looking for a creative and organised Marketing Assistant (Social Media) to help shape and deliver engaging content across NUSU’s central social media channels. This role puts you at the centre of student communications. You’ll be responsible for creating and coordinating social‑first content across platforms like Instagram & TikTok, bringing campaigns, events, and services to life in a way that resonates with students. Working closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager, Media Assistant, student officers, and teams across the Union, you’ll help plan and deliver campaigns, manage content calendars, and respond to social media needs across the organisation. From Welcome Week and Elections to everyday student moments, you’ll ensure our content is timely, on‑brand, and engaging, always reflecting the diversity and energy of our student community. You’ll also play a key role in spotting trends, analysing performance, and finding new ways to grow engagement and reach.
