Newcastle United is seeking a Soft Tissue Therapist to join the First Team in Newcastle Upon Tyne on a permanent basis. The role involves providing soft tissue treatments, including sports massage and Active Release Technique, to help both fit and injured players perform at their best.

You will support rehabilitation, work to minimise injury time out, and ensure the squad is ready for matchday. Collaboration with a talented medical team is essential, sharing insights and delivering holistic care to prevent injuries. Keeping accurate records and maintaining confidentiality is crucial, as is clear communication with colleagues about player status and treatment plans.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing vital support and treatment at St. James’ Park and during away fixtures.
  • Lending a hand with medical planning and preparation for match days.

We are looking for someone with experience in elite professional sport, ideally in a medical or soft tissue role, who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Resilience, calmness under pressure, and adaptability to changing demands are key attributes. Trust, confidentiality, strong communication skills, and empathy are essential, as well as flexibility to travel and work unsocial hours when required.

A Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent) in Soft Tissue Therapy is required.

The Performance team plays a critical role in ensuring all players can perform at the highest level consistently, assisting with injury prevention and treatment.

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne. If you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
