About the role

As a Research & Insights Analyst within our Recruitment department, you will support Talent Identification & Recruitment through high‑quality research, data analysis and presentation outputs.

You will deliver focused research projects, benchmarking and horizon scanning activities, providing clear and compelling insights that inform decision‑making across First Team, Global Talent and Academy recruitment.

  • Deliver research projects aligned to departmental priorities and development objectives.
  • Conduct benchmarking, trend analysis and market research to support recruitment strategy.
  • Analyse and interpret data, reports and research outputs to generate actionable insights.
  • Produce high‑quality reports, presentations, briefing materials and dossiers for stakeholders.
  • Translate complex data and research into clear, engaging and accessible outputs.
  • Support senior leaders with evidence‑based recommendations and strategic insight.
  • Research best practice across high‑performing teams and environments.
  • Coordinate and track research and development projects while maintaining awareness of emerging tools and innovations.

  • What we’re looking for
  • Degree in a sports‑related discipline or equivalent experience within a football or sporting recruitment environment.
  • FA Talent Identification Level 3 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong research, analytical and insight‑generation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience producing presentations, reports and data visualisations using tools such as Excel, Power Point and Tableau.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail.
  • Professionalism, discretion and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
