About the role

We are looking for experienced, strategic HR professionals who thrive on shaping high‐performing environments. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact at one of the fastest‐growing and most ambitious clubs in world football. As our HR Business Partner, you'll work closely with senior leaders to develop strategic people priorities that drive performance, strengthen culture, and support our ambition to be a world‐class organisation. You'll bring insight, influence and coaching, helping leaders embed strong people management capability while ensuring our people experience remains consistently high across the club. This is a role for credible, values‐driven HR professionals who enjoy building relationships, challenging constructively, and creating solutions that deliver real impact.

About you

  • Significant experience at senior HR level within a business partnering model.
  • Proven experience working with senior stakeholders, building trusted and collaborative relationships.
  • Strong experience managing complex employee relations matters and mitigating risk.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • The ability to analyse and present data to inform decisions and drive meaningful action.
  • Experience of managing performance and driving accountability through leaders.
  • High levels of empathy, collaboration and resilience.
  • Degree, CIPD Level 7 or significant equivalent experience in HR or people management.

It would be great if you have the following experience (but not essential):

  • Mediation, coaching or employment law qualifications.
  • Experience in a professional sporting environment.
  • Experience with CORE/Access HR & Payroll systems.

Location

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application. We work together, face‐to‐face, five days a week at St. James Park and Academy, First Team and Women's Team sites. This rhythm is fundamental to who we are; it helps us build trust quickly, share ideas easily, learn from one another, and drive a genuinely collaborative culture.
