This is an exciting opportunity to influence how procurement operates at Newcastle United and contribute to a function with significant growth and impact potential.
Your Impact
- Support strategic and operational procurement activities to deliver cost efficiencies while ensuring compliance with Club policies, values and delegated authorities.
- Use Workday to review, monitor and improve procurement workflows.
- Support supplier due diligence, onboarding, and development of a preferred supplier list.
- Manage and monitor P2P activity, reporting on compliance and recommending improvements.
- Contribute to departmental reporting, KPI development and contract database improvements.
- Support formal commercial exercises, including RFX processes, risk mitigation and whole‑life cost assessments.
- Research market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure quality, value and reliability.
- Promote sustainable procurement in line with the Club’s SECR objectives.
- Champion procurement best practice across the Club.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in procurement, ideally within indirect categories.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.
- Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience creating procurement reports, particularly KPI reporting.
- Strong project management and budget management skills.
- Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Studying toward MCIPS (or qualified), with negotiation training.
- Full UK driving licence.
