As First Team Performance Analyst (Post Match), you will lead the club’s post‑match analysis process, delivering elite level video and data outputs that inform immediate feedback, player development and long‑term tactical evolution. Working closely with the Head Coach, First Team Coaching Staff and Data & Insights colleagues, you will ensure analysis is creative, relevant, agile and aligned to the club’s football philosophy.

Your impact:

  • Experience working within an elite professional football environment
  • Strong football knowledge with the ability to analyse and interpret technical and tactical performance
  • Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in a sports‑related discipline (preferably Sports Science)
  • Proficiency with Hudl Sportscode & Studio (or similar platforms)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and visualisation skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines
  • High levels of resilience to meet the demands of elite football schedules
  • Confident user of Mac and Windows systems

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience at First Team level within elite professional football
  • MSc in a sports‑related discipline
  • UEFA B Coaching Licence
  • Experience with advanced data platforms (e.g. StatsBomb, Opta, Second Spectrum)
  • Data manipulation and visualisation skills (e.g. Excel, Tableau)
  • Hudl Replay/Flex experience or drone operation qualifications

Working closely with the First Team and coaching staff you will have a direct impact on match performance and analysis.

Location

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne; if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
