About the role

We’re looking for a talented individual to join our team to help develop our next generation of footballing talent within our foundation phase.

Reporting to the Lead Phase Coach, you will assist with implementing the Academy coaching curriculum and support player development at Newcastle United Academy, under the guidance of the Heads of Player and Coach Development.

You will coach, mentor, and develop players within our foundation phase, assisting the Lead Coach in planning, preparing, and delivering structured, enjoyable, and effective sessions. You will work within the Coach Competency Framework (CFF) and review individual performance against it.

Your impact

Significant experience working with players in the professional game is required. You must hold (or be working towards) the FA Advanced Coaching Licence – UEFA ‘B’ Licence, FA Safeguarding Certificate, and FA Basic First Aid for Sport.

Professional membership of the FA Licenced Coaches Club is also required.

Preferred but not essential are a sports/teaching degree, mentoring/personal coaching qualification, experience working with professional players, and familiarity with analysis software such as Sports Code.
