About the role

Newcastle United Football Club is entering an exciting period of transformation as we deliver our long-term vision and 2030 plan. Clear, engaging and purposeful internal communication is critical to ensuring our people are connected to our strategy, culture and values. We are seeking an Internal Communications Manager to create and own the Club’s internal communications strategy and delivery plan, working closely with senior leaders to ensure employees and internal stakeholders are informed, engaged and aligned with the Club journey and The Newcastle Code.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and deliver an effective internal communications strategy aligned to the Club Vision and 2030 plan.
  • Create and maintain an internal communications plan and content calendar in partnership with SMT leads.
  • Embed The Newcastle Code into all internal communications, language and tone.
  • Support Executive Leadership with senior announcements, change and crisis communications.
  • Partner with People & Talent and functional teams to deliver compliant, inclusive and engaging content.
  • Create clear, accessible content for all employee groups across the Club.
  • Implement a range of communication methods to ensure accessibility for all staff.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date content across Company platforms.
  • Organise and facilitate engagement events including Town Halls and conferences.
  • Use data and insights to measure engagement and continuously improve internal communications.

Your impact:

  • Formal qualification or training in communications.
  • Significant experience in corporate communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong planning, organisation and delivery capability.
