About the role

Newcastle United Women are on the hunt for a dynamic, experienced leader to spearhead our Professional Game Academy. This is your chance to shape the next generation of talent and drive a successful, sustainable Academy to new heights! Are you passionate about growing the Women’s game? Do you thrive on developing young talent and leading a high‑performing team? We are looking for a talented, experienced leader to work with the club to develop and manage a Professional Game Academy that’s both successful and sustainable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop – Inspire staff and players, ensuring top‑tier professional development.
  • Drive Operational Excellence – Oversee all logistics, compliance, and education programs.
  • Shape Player Pathways – Guide young talent and manage recruitment with the club.
  • Ensure Compliance & Governance – Keep everything FA‑approved and above board.
  • Engage & Collaborate – Work with grassroots clubs, stakeholders, and education providers.

Your impact

You will have a degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline, a UEFA B Licence and substantial experience working in a football academy or professional sports environment. You will need a proven ability to mentor and lead teams, with a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and compliant environment. You will have exceptional organisational and communication skills, leadership capabilities and a sound understanding of player contracts, welfare and safeguarding procedures.
