About the role
As Lead Recruitment Analyst, you’ll drive our player recruitment strategy by linking live and video scouting with robust data insights. You will manage the operational and analytical engine of the department—curating evidence, creating clarity, and delivering recommendations that align with the vision of the Head of Recruitment & Analysis and the Director of Women’s Football.
Key Responsibilities
- Player Identification & Scouting
- Conduct video and live scouting across senior and emerging markets.
- Produce detailed scouting reports and presentations aligned with club philosophy.
- Build and manage positional scouting lists.
- Perform due diligence and background checks on potential recruits.
- Data & Performance Analysis
- Use Sportscode, telestration, and video tools to create clips and evidence.
- Integrate performance data into scouting reports.
- Maintain a video and data library of target players.
- Market Intelligence & Benchmarking
- Research salaries, bonuses, and transfer trends for negotiations.
- Monitor domestic and international markets for opportunities.
- Operations & Process Management
- Manage information flow across the scouting network.
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in professional football recruitment/scouting.
- Expertise in video analysis platforms (Sportscode, telestration).
- Strong data literacy and ability to translate insights into recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative.
- Flexibility for travel and live match attendance.
Qualifications
- Essential
- Degree in Sports Science, Performance Analysis or related field.
- FA Talent ID Level 2.
- Desirable
- Master’s degree in related field.
- FA Talent ID Level 3.
Location
This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with an expectation of working 3 days per week from the office. Please note, if you are not located in the Northeast and unable to relocate, we regret that we will not be able to progress your application.
