This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Finance team in a senior leadership role, where you’ll play a key part in shaping financial planning, performance insight and strategic decision making across the Group.

About the role

As Head of Financial Planning & Group Reporting, you’ll lead the development and delivery of high-quality financial planning, forecasting and reporting across the business. You’ll ensure the integrity of financial data, providing clear, insightful analysis to support strategic decision making and compliance.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll take ownership of Group reporting requirements, including statutory reporting and regulatory submissions, while driving continuous improvement in systems, processes and financial insight.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the Group’s budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes, ensuring alignment across all departments
  • Develop and maintain integrated financial models to support strategic planning and operational performance
  • Deliver clear and insightful reporting across P&L, cashflow and balance sheet, including scenario planning
  • Oversee Group reporting requirements, including statutory accounts, UEFA and Premier League reporting
  • Ensure compliance with evolving financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Provide commercial insight and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the Club
  • Lead the development of reporting tools and dashboards to support real-time performance monitoring
  • Work collaboratively across the business on key projects, providing financial expertise and insight
  • Line manage and develop a small team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance

About you

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative, forward-thinking approach.

You’ll bring:

  • Qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience (typically 3+ years)
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience in financial planning, forecasting and reporting within a complex organisation
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, with the ability to build and interpret financial models
  • The ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insight
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision making
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a focus on continuous improvement

It would be great if you also have:

  • Experience of Workday Financials and Adaptive Planning
  • Understanding of regulatory environments such as Premier League or UEFA financial frameworks
  • Experience working in football or a similarly fast-paced or high-performance environment
