Industry Placement Officer – T Level Health and Social Care
Contract hours – 22.2 hours
Location: Stafford site
Salary: Scale points 11-20 £25,844 – £31,049 pro rata (actual £15,506 – £18,629)

The group is currently home to a population of over 6,500 full-time students with around 2,000 adult learners and students on higher education programmes. We have over 1,500 apprentices where we work with over 850 individual employers. Our Sixth Form provision has a reputation for high academic achievement and excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Health and Social department at the Stafford site. This role will involve the placement, assessment and monitoring of students on T Level Health and Social Care courses as well as developing effective working relationships with a range of providers.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have substantial experience of working in the Sector.
Main Duties And Responsibilities Include
- To develop and maintain relationships with providers across a range of sectors who express an interest in providing placements.
- To screen all such potential placement providers to ensure they have a clear understanding of the obligations in respect of students and have appropriate arrangements in place in respect of health and safety, insurance and equal opportunities.
- To ensure that all placement providers are able to offer sufficient placement opportunities for students, to develop their skills and demonstrate their competency in all areas.
- To draw up individual placement plans for students, and to regularly review progress against this with the students and his/her placement supervisor.
- To ensure that all students receive a comprehensive and thorough induction programme both from the College and their placement.
Required Skills And Experience
- Holds a relevant qualification
- Has substantial experience working in business and digital setting.
- Holds English & Maths GCSE or equivalent.
- Has the confidence and ability to approach and develop effective working relationships with a range of providers.
- Has good administrative skills, well organised, able to keep accurate and easily retrievable records.
- Holds a current driving licence and has use of a car.
- IT literate, experience of using MS Office software and databases.
