We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual with relevant experience to assist in the day-to-day running of the Human Resources Office. You will take an active role in providing general HR advice and guidance to Managers and individual members of staff on a range of employment issues.
The Main Duties Of The Post Holder Are:
- To provide general HR advice and guidance in a clear and professional manner to Managers and individual members of staff on a range of employment issues.
- To support with casework and long-term absences or continuing sickness absence under the direction of the Head of HR / HR Systems & Development Manager.
- To attend identified training and professional development activities, maintaining an awareness of current national standards and good practice.
- To assist the HR Systems & Development Manager in supporting the planning of relevant and timely CPD activities aimed at improving the performance of teaching staff.
- To capture data in order to maintain and update the computerised HR database, payroll documentation, absence management systems, vacancy monitoring systems and staffing statistics.
- To maintain, monitor, check and update general staffing records and individual staff files (eg absence, annual leave, new starters, leavers, contract changes and volunteer / placements).
- To deal with the administration of the Recruitment, Selection and Induction processes, the Colleges DBS / vetting procedures, which includes the checking of ID, right to work documentation and recording associated information onto computerised HR & screening systems.
Required Skills And Experience:
- Holds a Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Has experience of working in an administrator role in a busy fast paced office environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills including customer service skills.
- Has or is willing to work towards CIPD Qualifications.
- Has excellent organisational skills and is able to work under pressure.
- Has experience of keeping and maintaining accurate records of information using a range of database packages.
