This role blends technical expertise with people leadership. You’ll lead, organise and manage software development activity within an agile environment, ensuring delivery is efficient, well-governed and aligned to business priorities. You’ve worked effectively in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban and bring solid technical knowledge across programming, system design, and modern development practices. Being comfortable working within project teams, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, and you understand the importance of risk and control when working in regulated environments; financial services experience is a bonus.
Alongside your technical background, you bring excellent leadership and organisational skills, with a genuine ability to motivate, support, and develop others. You should be able to manage multiple priorities, remain effective under pressure, and communicate with confidence, able to influence, challenge, and engage stakeholders at all levels. You have a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement, and the ability to see the bigger picture by understanding the business impact and risk of technical decisions. Most importantly, you enjoy working collaboratively and being part of a team that learns, grows, and succeeds together.
