As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of complex transformational change initiatives across the Strategic Portfolio, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and delivering measurable business value. You will provide leadership, direction, and oversight across multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery is coordinated, governed effectively, and optimised across time, cost, quality, and risk.

You will lead and develop a team of Project Managers, setting clear expectations, building capability, and driving high performance. Operating within a matrix environment, you will engage senior stakeholders across the organisation to shape priorities, resolve dependencies, and ensure delivery remains aligned to organisational strategy.

You will play a key role in translating strategy into executable programmes, influencing decision-making at a senior level, and ensuring that outcomes are sustainable, embedded, and value driven.

About You

You bring strong ownership of programme planning and coordination across multiple projects and workstreams, maintaining clear and robust programme roadmaps. These provide transparency on sequencing, dependencies, and critical milestones, supporting effective decision‐making and delivery confidence across the programme.

With proven programme execution experience, operating fully within governance frameworks you will have effective risk and issue management ensure compliance and visibility throughout the programme lifecycle. Experience delivering complex programmes in matrix or regulated environments is underpinned by a strong understanding of programme governance and benefits realisation.

Strategic influence should be a key strength of yours, able to use insight to constructive challenge, and have well‐formed recommendations to shape decision‐making at senior levels. This is balanced by your ability to retain oversight of detailed delivery, understanding when to engage at pace to resolve issues or provide clarity while keeping a firm focus on strategic objectives.

You possess strong leadership capabilities which enables effective line management and development of Project Managers, through coaching, performance management, and career development.

You should have a strong understanding of delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches, ensures the right approach is applied in the right context. Proficiency in delivery and reporting tools such as MS Project, MS Planner, and Power BI supports data‐driven insight and transparent reporting. This is complemented by a relevant professional qualification, such as PRINCE2, MSP, APM, PMI, or equivalent.
