You will provide escalated support for service desk incidents and requests, taking ownership of complex issues and resolving them within agreed SLAs. Alongside this, you will monitor system performance, carry out regular maintenance and housekeeping activities, and support upgrades and new system implementations.

You will contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of the Group’s Business Recovery and Disaster Recovery plans, including assisting with configuration updates and participating in regular testing. A strong focus on security best practice will be essential, as you help implement and maintain robust controls across IT systems. The role also involves supporting departmental operations, including producing procedures and management information, contributing to ad hoc infrastructure projects, and providing support to NFML customers where required. You may also be expected to provide out-of-hours cover on occasion.

Working closely with the wider Infrastructure Services team, you will support change delivery, ensure service continuity, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services across the organisation.

About You

You are a proactive and analytical professional with the confidence to solve problems and make decisions outside of established procedures, while remaining aligned to policy frameworks. You communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, and can present information in a structured, balanced way that meets the needs of your audience.

You thrive in fast-paced environments, effectively managing a high volume of complex tasks while consistently meeting deadlines. With strong attention to detail, you maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in your work. You are resilient and adaptable, able to respond to changing priorities while maintaining focus and performance. A strong awareness of risk and the ability to analyse potential impacts underpin your approach, alongside a clear commitment to continuous improvement.

Self-motivated and driven to develop your own capabilities, you bring experience working within IT services, ideally in financial services or other regulated environments. You are comfortable operating within a managed risk culture and have experience working with suppliers and collaborating across multiple support functions to deliver business outcomes. A solid working knowledge of general networking and server-based technologies is essential.
