DJ Maguire Dental Group are looking for a qualified dental nurse (trainees will be considered) to work in our practice, Newcastle Family Dental Care, on a part-time basis.

  • Monday 9.00am - 5.00pm
  • Tuesday Off
  • Wednesday 9.00am - 5.00pm
  • Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm
  • Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm

Essential Criteria:

  • GDC Registration (where qualified)
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Excellent communicator
  • Good practical skills together with good common sense
  • Excellent organisational and clinical skills, with the ability to plan and manage workloads
  • Confidence to represent the practice and its values
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels in the organisation
  • Professional attitude
  • Experience managing relationships with patients
  • Clinical experience, dental knowledge, performing high quality dental nursing whilst assisting each dentist in all dental procedures
  • Familiarity with health and safety rules and guidance including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, waste disposal
  • Up to date CPR training

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working in healthcare and decontamination unit
  • 1 year's reception experience
  • Computer literate with good IT skills and experience of dental software

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £11.50-£14.00 per hour
