Newcastle City Council is looking to appoint a Student Planner on a one-year fixed term contract for 10 hours per week to support the delivery of its planning service. The postholder will gain work experience in the city’s planning section, where you will be working alongside specialist planning staff on a range of digital planning projects supporting data and digital improvements.
Applicants must be working towards a degree or post-graduate qualification relevant to urban planning. At interview you will be required to demonstrate an understanding of digital planning and data requirements for planning, have good communication skills, with the ability to identify solutions to solve problems, as well as having experience in collaborative working.
