Waverley is a one form entry primary school located in the outer west of Newcastle and is a founding member of the ONE Academy Trust. Our Local Governing Board are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, friendly and highly motivated teacher to join our team from Monday 20th April 2026.
You will be required to be responsible for learner achievement within the Reception class through effective teaching and learning. You will be responsible for the monitoring and development of an aspect of pupil learning or curriculum area across the school. Early Careers Teachers are welcome to apply.
Qualifications- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Demonstrate consistently good or outstanding teaching experience in Early Years.
- Be experienced and/or trained in Ruth Miskin Read, Write, Inc.
- Have the ability to assess children accurately and to use data to ensure good progress towards GLD outcomes.
- Have knowledge of GLD and the Reception Baseline Tracker.
- Be open to working collaboratively with Nursery and KS1 colleagues, especially around transition.
