An exciting and varied opportunity has arisen for the role of Programme Officer within Newcastle City Council’s Commercial Property Department. You will have excellent project and contract management skills and be a self‑motivated individual with the ability to learn new skills quickly.

As Programme Officer you will ensure delivery of PFI school / LIFT contracts across Newcastle, including management of contracts, reviewing and challenging contract performance, monitoring of budgets, working with internal/external contractors to ensure the effective delivery of the PFI Programmes and associated services.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a customer‑focused environment and a clear understanding of how to initiate, manage and guide projects to successful completion, and the drive and determination to make this happen. Candidates should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office systems.
