Newcastle City Council is assembling a dynamic team to make it happen, and we’re searching for an exceptional Marketing and Communications Executive to play a pivotal role. This position is fixed term until 30 September 2028. As a Marketing and Communications Executive, you will play a key role in promoting the city, engaging residents and visitors, and helping deliver an unforgettable tournament experience. What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and delivering marketing and communications plans that promote EURO 2028 activity in Newcastle, including ways of engaging both Newcastle’s communities and visitors.
- Creating engaging, inclusive content for digital, social media and other channels.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver joined‑up campaigns.
- Managing social media and digital promotion to maximise reach and audience engagement.
- Commissioning and managing external suppliers, designers or communications specialists.
- Managing budgets and ensuring value for money.
- Supporting stakeholder engagement and partnership activity.
- Using insight, feedback and data to evaluate impact and improve future activity.
