Overview

We are looking for a skilled and confident manager to lead our In-House Compliance & Enforcement Team during a period of maternity leave. This is a key leadership role within Revenues and Benefits, responsible for overseeing enforcement activity and ensuring it is delivered to high standards and in line with legislation, council policies and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team performance, support income generation, and ensure health and safety protocols are in place, particularly around lone working.
  • Develop procedures, manage external enforcement contracts, respond to complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction with enforcement activity.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners, contribute to policy development, and lead on service improvements and risk management.

What we\’re looking for

  • Proven management experience and the ability to lead an enforcement-focused team.
  • Experience in delivering enforcement activity in line with legislation, council policies and financial regulations.
  • Ability to develop procedures, manage external contracts, respond to complaints, and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols, including lone working considerations.
