An opportunity exists for a suitable individual to work within the Facility Services Division of Operations and Regulatory Services Directorate as a Facility Supervisor at St Michaels RC Primary School in Elswick.
Grade N05, SCP13-17 £28,163 - £30,060 pro rata per annum
32.00 HOURS PER WEEK (SPLIT SHIFT)
- 7.00-10.00 & 14.30-18.00 Monday to Thursday
- 7.00-10.00 & 15.00-18.00 Friday
To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have good communication skills, the ability to work with limited supervision, be able to carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, and be capable of regular stooping, bending, lifting, and carrying of equipment, materials/furniture. Caretaking experience in a school would be an advantage.
You must be able to undertake the split shift requirements of the role and manage your own time. You will be responsible for the security of the premises, setting of alarms, general health and safety issues relating to the building, as well as a range of porterage duties. There will be a responsibility for the supervision of cleaning staff.
You will be expected to deal with varying workloads and the cleaning of a defined area. There will need to be a degree of flexibility around certain key events in the school calendar e.g. parent’s evenings, governing body meetings, Christmas, and summer fairs.
