Waverley Primary School, Maple Close, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE15 7QZ, is looking to appoint a Facilities Supervisor. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team. The successful candidate will work in and around the building site to ensure the school is fit for purpose.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Will undertake basic site management of the internal and external building.
  • Has knowledge of Health and Safety regulations in schools.
  • Can carry out basic repairs of damaged or defective equipment or resources.
  • Experience of working in a school environment is desirable.
  • Possesses a pleasant, patient demeanour together with an ability to work at speed accurately to deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain a positive attitude.

Waverley Primary has Academy status and is one of eight schools within ONE (Owl North East) Trust, which is committed to providing the highest quality support for teaching and learning; the employer will be the Trust. You will be based at Waverley Primary School. At the request of the ONE Trust, you may be required to conduct your duties elsewhere to facilitate learning or social activities off the school premises. The Trust reserves the right to change your area of work, temporarily or otherwise, as may be required, subject to reasonable notice and prior consultation with you. Please also note that this post is subject to a six-month probationary period.

Visits to school will take place on Wednesday 2nd September between 10am – 2pm. Shortlisting will take place on Friday 11th September 2026. Interviews will be held on Wednesday 16th September 2026.
